Synergy
worked with our client in Oman, Oman LNG (under
the auspices of Shell Gas & Power), to
enable it to invest its money profitably at
the same time as remaining true to its commitment
to further sustainable development policies.
We worked with a team of local and international
staff to analyse existing structures for delivering
social investment activities and to look at
new models. When we had done this we set up
a new trust fund for the company which would
not only reflect international best-practice,
but would take into account the local circumstances
of Oman.
So, in this way we helped our client to improve
their credibility by encouraging them to look
closely at what returns they were providing
for their business, but also gave them a structure
by which they could share some responsibility
for funding allocation decisions with other
stakeholders.
