decided to draft its first-ever public report
on its environmental performance. Social and
environmental stewardship figure prominently
in AES’s four corporate principles,
and the company’s first public disclosure
aimed to demonstrate concretely the company’s
commitment and deeds. Synergy prepared this
assessment for the AES Board of Directors,
which contains analysis of the standard business
practice of public disclosure and management
of sustainability; comparisons with public
reports and performance of comparable businesses,
with emphasis on the energy industry; and
identification of challenges and recommendations
for AES. |
